We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new Android App -Contact Tracer.
This app was developed specifically to help in simplifying the process of Tracing those that came in contact with person(s) diagnosed with Covid19. This App uses NRC, Bluetooth and GPS technology to record the meet-ups of the persons that came in contact. Whenever someone (who has the app installed) is diagnosed with Covid19, the app will notify every other person that came in contact with the confirmed case.
Using this app requires some simple steps which are as follows:
Install the App
Click on the button, at the end of this post, to download & Install the application.
Note: Since the app is not yet approved into Play Store, you need to Allow Installation from Unknown sources in phone to install the app.Register
Use your phone number to register into the app. While inserting your phone number, make sure to remove the first 0 (i.e 7034294012 instead of 07034294012). A code will be sent to you via SMS, insert the code to complete you registration.
Your Health Status
This screen will be shown after successful registration. The screen provides you with a dialogue upon which you can change your health status. Whenever you change your health status, all other persons whom you came in contact with will be notified.
Covid19 Cases Summary
Clicking on the COVID19 SUMMARY will take you directly to the screen where you can view current summary of Covid19 confirmed cases in Nigeria.
Covid19 Alert
Whenever someone that you came in contact with was diagnosed with Covid19, you’ll be notified instantly and this screen will shown with details of your meet-up, which include location, date and time.
Our hope is that this app will in containing the spread of this pandemic in Nigeria and thereby help win the war against the dreaded Covid19 global pandemic.
